The E39 incorporates an additional new fuse block specifically for engine management components and switched ignition power supply. The replaceable fuse block is located in the E-Box. It contains four 30 amp and one 20 amp fuse. The fuse block plugs into a harness connector.

As with all fuse designations and related circuits, always reference current wiring diagrams to determine possible differences in models (528i/540i).
