SUBJECT:
Automatic Headlight Aim Control (LRA) Not Diagnosable

MODEL:
E39 (5 Series) - Vehicles with Xenon headlights

SITUATION:
When using DIS CD 22.0 in "Diagnosis", the automatic headlight vertical aim control (LRA) module cannot be identified.

CAUSE:
Software error in DIS CD 22.0

CORRECTION:
Manually identity vehicle as E38 (740i_A_M62/TU_SED).

Select: "Function Selection" / "Complete Vehicle" / "Body" / "Lights" At the Variant Scan screen,

Select "Yes" to the question "Automatic headlight vertical aim control?"

Select "Yes" to the question "Xenon light?"

Select "Automatic headlight vertical aim control" / "Test Schedule" Continue with diagnosis of the LRA module in the regular way.
