Downshift Switch: Service and Repair

Check switch.





Pull off flat male connector (1).
Unfasten nut (2).
Unscrew and remove kick-down switch.
Installation:
Adjust Bowden cable for throttle valve actuation.





Vehicle with accelerator sensor:
Remove lower left trim panel from instrument panel.
Attach special tool 35 0 010/012 to stop (3) on pedal block (4 brake pedal).
Screw kick-down switch firmly down.
Press accelerator pedal down to floor. Unscrew kickdown switch until it rests on accelerator pedal.
Fit lock nut (2).
Remove special tool.
