Left Distributor Housing Seal

Remove left intake filter housing, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.





Unclip and remove left cover from points (1 to 3).





Unfasten screws and remove distributor cap.
Tightening torque, refer to Engine, Specifications.





Unfasten screws and remove distributor rotor.
Tightening torque, refer to Engine, Specifications.





Unfasten screw and remove spline driver for distributor rotor.





Installation:
Spline driver (1) must locate in recess (2) in camshaft.





Unfasten screws and remove distributor housing.





Carefully remove radial seal. Do not damage sealing faces.





Installation:
Install radial seal with special tool 11 3 200 in conjunction with special tool 00 5 500.





Installation:
Sealing surface between distributor housing and timing case cover, clean and oil-free. Replace seal.

Note: Note direction of installation of gasket. Fit gasket so that sealant bead (1) faces distributor housing.





Installation:
Place Special tool 11 3 220 on camshaft.
Fit distributor housing (1) and centre on camshaft with special tool 113210.





Installation:
Replace copper seals (1). Tighten the screws.
