CD20.0 Diagnosis Error
MODEL:
E38 750i, 750iL & Protection with M73
Situation:
While attempting to diagnose the DME control module(s) the message "Data Transmission Disturbed" may be displayed at the control module identification page. If this is displayed, further diagnosis of the DME is not possible.
Correction:
Follow the procedure below to continue DME diagnostics.
Procedure:
1. Select "END" then "Terminate" to end diagnosis.
2. Select "Diagnosis"
3. Cycle the ignition off then on.
4. Select "E38", right arrow (() then "OK"
5. Perform a "short test" on the DME only. Do not perform a complete short test for all modules.
6. Select (,"function selection" then "Complete vehicle".
7. Select "Drive", "Engine" then "Digital Motor Electronics" (DME).
8. Select "Test Plan", "No" then (.
9. Select "Expert Mode"
10. Select "Read Fault Memory". Continue with normal diagnosis.
