Trunk / Liftgate Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

51 24 050 Removing And Installing/replacing Lock (locking Cylinder) For Trunk Lid Set

Remove trim for bottom of trunk lid.







Unfasten cable tie and disconnect plug connection.







Lift out actuating rod (1).
Unfasten nut and remove connection (2).

Installation:
Check that actuating rod (1) is correctly seated.
Locking section (2) must be fitted to center of body aperture.

Installation: Perform function check with trunk lid open.







Only replace:
Remove clip (1) lift out bracket (2) and remove micro-switch (3).
