INTRODUCTION

DME - MS S52 ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The engine management system for the MS is the BMW - MS S52 system. The hardware and software have been developed by BMW while the control module is supplied by Siemens. The control module is the SKE (Standard Shell Construction) 134 pin design. The MS S52 system conforms to TLEV emission standards.

- Four EDR emergency running (limp home) programs.
- Two different throttle progression programs (sport switch).
- Two different Servotronic characteristic programs (sport switch).
- Variable engine speed warning zone (Tachometer).
