Secondary Air Injection

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION




The S62 engine is equipped with secondary air injection for compliance with OBD II emission regulations. Operation of the air injection system is the same as on the M62 engine with air being injected into the exhaust for a maximum of 2 minutes on cold engine start up between 10 and 40 degrees engine temperature.
