Complete Assembly

Remove or replacing final drive

Note:
When replacing the final drive, note rear axle ratio and version (with or without differential lock). Both pieces of information are embossed in type plate on final drive cover.
Drain final drive oil.

Installation:
Top up final drive oil.
Comply with specified oil quantity.
Removing propeller shaft from input flange.
Pull off speedometer signal plug.





Unscrew left and right output shafts and suspend from car on a piece of wire.

Installation:
Use washers (1).
Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.





Support final drive from underneath with a transmission lifter and special tool 33 4 390.





Unscrew screw.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.





Unfasten screws. Lower workshop hoist slightly and pull final drive backwards to remove.

Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.
