Adjusting Rear Axle (With KDS)
A change in camber also means a change in toe; this means that camber must be adjusted first.
Adjusting camber:
Replace hexagon collar nut (1).
Ensure eccentric washer is correctly located (2).
Tighten hexagon collar nut (1) to 110 Nm.
Release hexagon collar nut (1) approx. 1/2 turn.
Caution!
If the hexagon collar nut (1) is tightened more than 10 times during adjustment, it must be replaced again. The self locking effect becomes too slight.
Adjust camber precisely to specified value with eccentric screw.
Note: The eccentric screw must be located between the stops (1). Tighten hexagon collar nut to 110 Nm.
Adjusting toe-in:
Release screws approx. 1 1/2 turns at bearing pedestal.
Attach special tool 32 3 030 to screw head and to notch (1). Turn special tool and adjust toe-in to specified value.
Installation:
Trailing Arm Console to Body 77 Nm
