CORRECTION

The repair consists of checking the Vehicle Emission Control Information label on the underside of the hood to see if the correct label is in place, and installing the correct one if necessary.

Each owner of an affected car will receive a notification letter (sample shown) and a replacement label. The owner can either install the new label, or request that it be installed at your BMW center.

PROCEDURE

Open the hood and check the label on the underside of the hood.

Check the part number on the label. If the part number is 7 502 586, wipe the label with a clean cloth or paper towel, remove the backing from the new label, and apply the label directly over the one on the car.

Reimbursement for this Service Action will be via Campaign Entry.
