Caution:
- Do not move floating roof liner with force.
- Follow procedure precisely because otherwise mechanism (guide) on slide/tilt sunroof cassette can be damaged. It then has to be replaced.
Ideal adjustment: Gaps (A) between sunroof and front and back of roof of equal size.
Height:
Front - flush to 1 mm deeper
Rear - flush to 1 mm higher
Initializing slide/tilt sunroof.
Closing slide/tilt sunroof lid (zero setting).
Press button to open roof briefly (1) then stop again (2) (inching function).
The slide/tilt sunroof lid must now lower at back by dimension (A). (A) = 2 ... 4 mm
Caution: Swift movement of the slide/tilt sunroof can damage mechanism (guide) of the slide/tilt sunroof cassette. Do not move floating roof liner with force.
Slowly slide floating roof liner right back (with clean hands, or wearing protective gloves).
Closing slide/tilt sunroof lid (zero setting).
Caution: It is now no longer possible to move slide/tilt sunroof lid backwards (damage to mechanism).
Rear adjustment: Unfasten nut (2) and replace.
Slide in adjusting wedges (1) on left and right until ideal setting is reached.
Press slide/tilt sunroof lid forwards, then tighten the outer nut (2) first of all.
Tightening torque - refer to Technical Data 54 12 2AZ.
Front adjustment: Loosen left/ right screws (1).
Push slide/tilt sunroof lid upwards or downwards until ideal setting is reached.
Tighten screws (1).
Installation: Tightening torque - refer to Technical Data 54 12 2AZ.
Replace removed screws (microencapsulation) or install old screws with Loctite 270.
Press button to open roof briefly (1) then stop again (2) (inching function).
The slide/tilt sunroof lid must now lower at back by
dimension (A). (A) = 2 ... 4 mm
Caution: Swift movement of the slide/tilt sunroof can damage mechanism (guide) of the slide/tilt sunroof cassette.
Pull floating roof liner forwards (with clean hands or wearing protective gloves).
Installation: Check function.
