Replacing Backrest Cover For Left Rear Seat (Load Through System)

Removing and installing armrest for rear-seat backrest (load through system).
Removing and installing rear panel on left rear-seat backrest (load through system).


Remove backrest cover with support:







Pull out torque rod (1). Unfasten bearing screws (2) and (3) with plastic guide.







Installation:

Outside (A):
Tighten short bearing screw (1) (with hole) with plastic bush (2). Push in torque rod (3) with bearing screw (1), whereby end faces downward.

Inside (B):
Tighten long bearing screw (4) with plastic bush (5).







Lift cover out of cover claws (2) with trim wire (1).







Lift out cover (1) at bottom and on side (plug-in groove).







Lift out cover (1) with center armrest (plug-in groove).
Remove cover with support from backrest frame.


NOTE: The operation "Removing back-rest cover with support" ends here.







Replacement of "support":
Cut through all clips.
Remove all remnants of clips from cover and support.

Installation Note: Lock new retainers by bending with special tool 52 0 050.







Only replacement of "backrest cover":
Remove all trim wires from cover.
Cut new cover and insert the trim wires.
