Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems: Service and Repair

Note: After completing work:
^ Connect brake fluid changer.
^ Activate precharging pump with Diagnosis and Information System (DIS).
^ Bleed precharging circuit.

Before beginning work:

Draw off brake fluid.





Release screw (1).





Release nuts (1) and remove horns.

Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Release union nuts (3 and 4).

Caution: Brake fluid may emerge.

Do not mix up brake lines.

Installation:

Line connections (see designation on precharging pump):

HZ: Line to tandem brake master cylinder

BA: Line to brake fluid supply tank

Tightening torque refer to Specifications.

Release screws (5 and 6) and remove precharging pump with bracket (7).





Unlock plug (1) and pull out of mount.

Release screws (2).

Remove precharging pump from mount (3).
