Axle Shaft Assembly: Service and Repair

Remove wheel.
Remove final drive, refer to Differential, Service and Repair.





Release collar nut (1).
Tightening torque, refer to Differential, Specifications.

Installation:
Replace collar nut.
Secure collar nut by peening at flat area of shaft.





Press output shaft with special tool 33 2 111 / 116 / 117 out of drive flange and remove.





Installation:
Apply a light coat of oil to splines/shaft.
Draw in output shaft with special tool 33 2 115 / 116 / 118.
