Suspension Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing and installing/replacing the control unit (EDC)
Up to 09/97:
Remove actuator drive for tank filler flap.





Unfasten screws.
Unlock connector and remove.





Change the sheet metal nuts (1) if necessary.

Caution! Once installed, a new control unit must be encoded, refer to BMW Diagnosis and Information System.

From 09/97:
Installation location, front right, equipment carrier in front of glovebox, refer also to DIS installed locations.
