Brake Light Switch Input Signal

The brake light switch is used as an input(s) to the ECM for cruise control operation as well as Safety Monitoring. The brake light switch assembly contains two separate switches, the brake light switch and the brake light test switch.

Brake Light Switch:

The brake light switch switches to ground (B-), the brake light test switch to B+. The plausibility of both signals is checked.

Troubleshooting
A fault code is stored if the signals are not plausible. Cruise control is deactivated.
