Automatic Transmission

Note instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery. Refer to Service Precautions. Vehicle Damage Warnings

Disconnect battery ground wire and mask it.
Remove intake air manifold.





- Unfasten nut and remove cable.

Installation:
- Note line routing.




- Brace nuts on starter screw connection and unfasten upper and lower screws on starter from transmission end with suitable extension.




- Unfasten nut (1) on support and remove starter.





Installation:
- Check starter pinion and starter crown gear for damage.
