Quarter Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair

51 71 190 Removing And Installing Seal On Side Window (rear), Left Or Right (Z3 Coupe, M Coupe)







Partially unclip trim (1).







Pull trim (1) out a little and lever out seal (2).

Installation:
If necessary, lever out clip (3) and slide into trim (1).







CAUTION: During removal of seal (1), carefully work in area (C) otherwise seal will tear off.

In area (A), pull off seal (1) upwards from trim.
In area (B), pull off seal (1) from side window.
In area (C), carefully pull off seal (1) from side window and trim.







Installation:
For installation, coat plug-in groove (1) of seal (2) with turpentine substitute (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service).
