51 16 026 Replacing Mirror Glass For Rear-View Mirror (On Front Door)

CAUTION:
- Bring car to room temperature so that clips do not break off.
- Press mirror glass at lower edge forwards as far as it will go.







Tape off mirror glass and housing edge with plastic adhesive tape (1) (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service) (risk of damage).
Push mirror glass with special tool 00 9 318 (universal wedge) upwards.
Carefully remove mirror glass towards rear and if necessary disconnect plug connection for mirror heater and/or automatic anti-glare control.







Installation:
Position mirror glass (1) with mounts (2) on guides (3) and push downwards.
Carry out function check.
