Cleaning Injector Ducts
M67/M57/M47TU:
Remove injectors.
M47 only:
Remove injection nozzles.
NOTE: Pictures show the M67 engine.
Seal bore in injector duct with special tool 13 5 215 in conjunction with special tool 13 5 214.
CAUTION: Sealing ring of injector must not remain in injector duct.
Detach special tool 13 5,214 from special tool 13 5 215.
Remove assembly rod from injector duct.
Push brush holder with brush head of special tool 13 5 210 into guide sleeve.
Insert special tool 13 5 310 into injector shaft as far as it will go.
Fit socket wrench on special tool 13 5 210 and turn with slight pressure.
Clean side surface of injector duct by sliding special tool 13 5 210 in and out.
WARNING: Wear protective goggles without fail as there is a risk of eye injury!
Blow out injector duct with compressed air; in so doing, cover opening with a cloth to catch particles.
Check whether sealing surface is clean; repeat cleaning if necessary.
After cleaning, remove special tool 13 5 215 with special tool 13 5 214 from injector duct.
