MoDiC Batteries

The MoDiC contains two AA batteries to maintain the loaded software programs in memory.

- The life expectancy of the batteries is approximately 12 months.
- When the battery capacity becomes low, the message "Battery Low" is posted in the display. This message will only appear when the MoDiC is connected to the power supply of the vehicle.

The batteries are located in the handle and are accessible by removing four phillips head screws in the back of the handle. When removing the old batteries the program memory is buffered for up to ten minutes. The software programs will be maintained as long as the new batteries are installed within the 10 minute period.
