51 12 001 Replacing Rear Bumper (touring)

Remove complete rear bumper.
Only for replacing rear bumper trim (51 12 157) and replacing rear bumper (51 12 001):
Remove rubber guard for bumper, rear side, left and right.







Version with Park Distance Control (PDC):
Release ultrasonic converter (1) and pull off bumper. Carefully unclip cable bracket (2).
Thread cable out of bracket (3) and bumper.







Unfasten expanding rivets (1) and remove heat shield (2).







Unfasten expanding rivets (1) and remove center section of bumper (support beam).
Unclip finisher (2) for towing eye and unfasten retaining strap.
