Removal and Replacement

CAUTION!
Note safety regulations for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical seatbelt tensioners.
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and result in injury.


Remove and install front left or right door trim.







CAUTION!
Do not overstretch or damage locking clips otherwise Replace damaged locking clips.







Take off locking clip.
To do so, open locking clip until lug (1) can be pulled out of catch.
Detach locking clip.







Pull off connectors.







Installation:
Connect plug (1).
Push on locking clip (2).







Installation:
Locking clip (1) must be snapped into place so that plug (2) cannot be detached! Check that locking clip (1) is correctly secured.







Unfasten screws.
Remove airbag module (3).

Installation:
Always replace micro-encapsulated screws!
Tightening Torque = 8.5 Nm
