Valve Intake/Exhaust Removal and Installation

(cylinder head removed)
Preliminary work is described in section on dismantling and assembling the cylinder head.
Replacing valve stem seals.
Remove valves from cylinder head.
If necessary, check valve guide for wear.
If necessary, ream the valve guide.
If necessary, rework valve seat.





Installation sequence:
1. Valve
2. Valve-stem seal
3. Lower plate spring
4. Valve spring
5. Upper plate spring
6. Valve tapers
