Installing Replacement Transmission (A5S 310Z)
Special Tools Required:
^ 24 0 080

Drain automatic transmission fluid.

Recycling:
Catch and dispose of emerging transmission fluid.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Caution: Before installing replacement transmission: Always flush oil cooler with lines.





Remove transmission.

Transmission identification on nameplate or adhesive label.





Convert transportation lock (1).





Convert lever (2), retaining bracket (3) and cable holder for oxygen sensors.





Caution: Automatic transmissions are filled with ATF when supplied.

Version with oil filler pipe:
Remove dummy plug from oil sump before installing oil filler pipe.

Catch escaping ATF in a clean container.

Pour in ATF using special tool 24 0 080 after installing transmission.

Check ATF level.
