Replacing Pulse Generator (Output Speed)

Replacing Pulse Generator (Output Speed) (A5S 360R/390R, A4S 200R)

Note: After completion of work, check transmission fluid lever

Caution:
^ Use only the approved transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
^ Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

Remove transmission fluid sump.





Disconnect plug (1).

Release screw (2).
Tightening torque, 24 34 4AZ.

Withdraw pulse generator (3).

Read out fault memory of EGS control unit.

Check stored fault messages, eliminate faults and then clear fault memory.
