41 61 014 Adjusting Engine Compartment Lid







Read contents of Body, General.
The gap dimensions serve as the basis for adjusting procedure.
Make unpainted surfaces visible by also moving the hinges. Touch these up in the appropriate colour.







Remove ornamental grille.
Release screws (1) on lock (view from front through opening in ornamental grille).







Release screws (1) on lock.
Lock be able to be move.







Check stop screw of engine compartment lid hinge on left and right.
Plastic head of stop screw must not be damaged or missing, replace engine compartment lid hinge if necessary.







Loosen screws (1) and (2) on left and right hinges.
Engine compartment lid lid must be able to be moved.

NOTE: If the adjustment range is not sufficient, release retaining screws of engine compartment lid hinge on body and move hinge.







Adjust engine compartment lid sideways and lengthways.
The strikers must snap into place in locks

NOTE: Height adjustment of engine compartment lid to side wall by means of stop pads.







NOTE:
- Height adjustment of engine compartment lid to front wall:
- Release screw (1) and remove cover (2).
- Height adjustment by turning at striker (3).







IMPORTANT: Check function of retaining hook.

Tighten down all slackened screw connections again.
