Oxygen Sensor, Bank 2, After Catalytic Converter
Oxygen Sensors After Catalytic Converter
The oxygen sensors located after the catalytic converter serve the purpose of monitoring the efficiency of the catalytic converter and monitoring the function of the oxygen sensors before the catalytic converter.
The oxygen sensors are heated as a temperature of approx. 300 degrees C is required for effective operation of the oxygen sensors. The heater is actuated by the engine control unit.
