Removing Hard Top

54 21 001 Removing Hard Top

Note: Open all doors and windows.







Unlock side trim panel (2) on left and right by pressing in area (1) and remove.

Note: Each time the side trim panel (2) is pressed in area (1) will unlock/lock the side trim panel (2).







Note:
- The tool (1) for unlocking the hard top is located behind the side trim panel on the driver's side.
- Place tool (1) on hard top catch (2) and unlock hard top on left and right by turning forwards until a click can be heard.







Unclip covers (1) and remove.

Installation:
Thread in retaining straps of covers (1) and clip in covers.







Note:
- If necessary, a greater exertion of effort is needed for unlocking and locking.
- Illustration shows unlocking on driver's side.
- Fit tool (1) and unlock hard top on left and right by turning outwards until a click can be heard.

Caution:
- Carry out tasks with care to avoid damaging paintwork, body and hard top.
- If necessary, mount hard top on hard top trolley.
- Do not set hard top down on roof ends.







Lift off hard top (1) with a second person.
