Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing/Replacing Fuel Pump

Draw off fuel from fuel tank.
Remove fuel level sensor for fuel gauge.

Fuel tank structure:







Fuel level sensor (1) for fuel gauge
Discharge protection valve (2) with holder
Fuel pump (3) with fixture
Holder for connection (4) with corrugated pipe







Pull discharge protection valve (1) with holder in lower area forwards and slide upwards (2).







Press together holder for fuel pump (1) and slide fuel pump (2) upwards.

Installation:
Check locking by pulling upwards on pump unit.







Pull fixture (1) forwards and slide (2) upwards.
Press corrugated pipe out of fixture (3).







CAUTION!
Carefully remove pump unit (1).


Installation:
Make sure unit is not twisted during installation.
