CD53 Radio: Poor Reception In FM Mode

E46 with CD53 Radio (option 662) from 09/2002

E85 with CD53 Radio (option 662) from 10/2002

SITUATION
Poor radio reception in FM mode, after radio system components were disconnected.

CAUSE
The diversity antenna amplifier is not active.

When the radio is installed before the diversity antenna amplifier, the diversity antenna amplifier is not recognized.

INFORMATION
When reinstalling radio system components, the diversity antenna amplifier must be installed before the radio is installed.

Alternatively, perform a battery reset.
