BMW Engine Oil Service







All models (except M Roadster/M Coupe up to 2001) feature extended Oil Service intervals of approximately 15,000 miles. This is a result of improvements in oil quality and durability provided by synthetic oils. Oil changes based on time have also been extended from 1 year to a maximum of 2 years unless indicated otherwise by the Service Indicator System.

The BMW Oil Service includes other comprehensive vehicle checks and maintenance because the service intervals are further apart. Refer to the Service Maintenance Checklist for the exact procedure for the vehicle that is being serviced as contents of the service do vary.
