Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

Vehicle Speed:

The vehicle speed signal to the ECM is provided by the ABS/ASC control module (square wave signal) from the right rear wheel speed sensor (Hall effect). The speed input is required by the ECM for vehicle speed limiting, idle speed regulation, and emergency operation.
