Adjusting Rear Axle (With KDS)

Note: Any change in camber always involves a change in toe: for this reason, the camber must always be adjusted first.

Adjust toe-in on eccentric screw swinging arm / rear axle carrier:





Before adjusting, replace disc collar nut (1) and tighten down. Ensure eccentric washer is correctly located (2).
Tightening torque, refer to Suspension Specifications.
Loosen disc collar nut 0.5 ... 1 complete turn.





Using the eccentric screw, adjust camber precisely to nominal value, refer to Suspension Specifications.





Tighten down disc collar nut (1). Ensure that eccentric washer (2) is correctly located.
Tightening torque, refer to Suspension Specifications.

Caution! If ever the disc collar nut is tightened more than 10 times during the alignment check, it must be replaced. The self-locking effect becomes too slight.





Adjust toe-in using eccentric screw on traction strut / rear axle carrier:
Unfasten screws and remove trim.





Before adjusting, replace and tighten down disc collar nut (1). Ensure that eccentric washer (2) is correctly located.
Tightening torque, refer to Suspension Specifications.
Unfasten disc collar nut 0.5 ... 1 complete turn.





Using the eccentric screw, adjust toe-in precisely to the nominal value, refer to Suspension Specifications.





Tighten down disc collar nut (1). Ensure that eccentric washer (2) is correctly located.
Tightening torque, refer to Suspension Specifications.
