Differential Assembly: Service and Repair

After completing operation, check oil level and, if necessary, top up final drive oil level.
Remove propeller shaft from final drive.





Unfasten left and right screws and tie up output shaft.

Installation:
Use washers (1).
Tightening Torque, refer to Differential Specifications.





Support rear final drive with special tool 00 2 030 (workshop hoist) and special tool 33 4 390.





Unfasten nut.

Installation:
Tightening Torque, refer to Differential, Specifications.





Unfasten rear exhaust mount.
Unscrew left and right nuts.
Lower final drive and pry out of flange on propeller shaft.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening Torque, refer to Differential, Specifications.
