SUBJECT
ISTA/P Prompts to Replace CDC

MODEL
E65 and E66 (7 Series) produced up to 03/2005

SITUATION
The following situations may occur:

^ When programming with ISTA/P 2.33.x, ISTA/P prompts during context determination to enter the programmed control unit number manually. Then, when proceeding to the measures plan, ISTA/P prompts to replace the CDC (CD Changer) and no programming is possible, even with a replaced CDC.

^ When programming with ISTA/P 2.34.0, ISTA/P prompts during context determination to enter the programmed control unit number manually. Then, when proceeding to the measures plan, ISTA/P indicates to replace the CDC (CD Changer).

CAUSE
Wrong runtime data in ISTA/P; CDCs in the E65 and E66 up to 03/2005 are not programmable.

PROCEDURE
Do not replace parts.

If not already loaded, install ISTA/P 2.34.0 and follow the work-around as described in the attachment.
