Subject
The telephone and voice activation systems do not work after Transport Mode deletion.

Vehicles Affected: E65, E66 from 9/2003 production.

Complaint
The telephone and voice activation systems stop working after transport mode is deactivated. The telephone is not detected during the diagnostics automatic brief test. Transport mode has therefore not been deactivated in the TCU.

Cause
Error with DIS CD35

Measure

1. Perform Short test on vehicle

2. After short test enter into Control Module Functions for TCU and clear fault memory

3. Perform Handover Inspection and delete transport mode.

4. If TCU still does not work, perform "Complete Vehicle Coding" using CIP.

This problem will be corrected with an Online Update to DIS CD 36.
