SUBJECT
315MHz Remote Control Range is Inadequate

MODEL
E65/E66 (7 Series) up to 11/2003

SITUATION
The 315MHz remote control range is inadequate or inoperative in specific areas.

CAUSE

315MHz remote control amplifier.

CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis only, install the improved 315MHz remote control amplifier.

For installation instructions refer to Repair Instruction RA 65 20 220 "Removing and installing/replacing rear window antenna amplifier".

NOTE:
There is no coding or programming necessary.

IMPORTANT:
On vehicles produced from November 2003, the improved 315MHz remote control amplifier is already installed.
