Convertible Top: Adjustments

54 34 100 Adjusting EH Convertible Top

Note: Remove complete convertible top.

Caution: Do not damage paintwork







Position auxiliary tool (1) (e.g. rail, rectangular tube) on both side panels from left to right.
Using special tool 00 2 550 (special depth gauge), measure distance from top edge of rail to support for convertible top mounting block on front stud.
Subtract height of auxiliary tool from measured value.
Specified measurement (A) = approx. 145 mm







Reduce specified measurement (A) at front stud as standard with three washers (2) (available in thickness of 1 mm).
An extra stud must be fitted at the rear stud.







Note:
- Measurement (A) must be measured vertically from auxiliary tool downwards.
- Follow calculation example in event of deviations from specified measurement.
