54 34 125 Removing And Installing/Replacing Trim On Convertible Top Lock

Open side windows.
Open convertible top approx. 1/3.
If necessary, open convertible top by hand.

Caution:
- Convertible top frame is made of magnesium.
- Do not damage surface (e.g. scratches). Any damage will result in destruction of the convertible top frame.
- Touching up with matching paint is not possible. Convertible top frame will continue to oxidize.
- A damaged convertible top frame must be replaced.







Release screws (1) on convertible top frame.







On left and right, bend open sealing lip (1).
Release screws (2).
Remove trim on convertible top lock.







On left and right, make a note of number and position of washers (1).

Installation:
Secure washers with adhesive.
