Removing And Installing Instrument Panel Trim

Disconnect battery negative lead.
Remove both panels for front roof pillar. Removing and Installing/Replacing Panel For Roof Pillar At Front (A-Pillar), Left or Right
Remove light switch unit.
Remove complete instrument carrier. Service and Repair
Remove fixture for steering column switch.
Remove center fresh air grill.
Remove radio receiver.
Remove airbag module on passenger side.
Remove center console. 51 16 200 Removing And Installing Center Console
Remove lower left trim from instrument panel. Removing and Installing Trim For Instrument Panel, Bottom Left
Remove right glovebox. Service and Repair
Remove all clipped finishers (decorative strips on panel for instrument panel).

Release screws (1).
Disconnect plug connection for speaker.

Installation:
Anti-drumming lining (1) must be correctly stuck on.
Foam strip (2) must be correctly stuck on.

Push fixtures (1) and (2) onto guide plates (3) and (4).

3. Guide plate on body, outside
4. Guide plate on body, center
