Replacing Pulse Generator On Right Inlet Camshaft (M62)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.

Remove intake hose.







Disconnect plug connection (3) on right cable strip.







Release screw.
Remove pulse generator.

Installation Note Check sealing ring for damage, replace if necessary. Coat sealing ring with anti-friction rubber coating (e.g. petroleum jelly).


NOTE:
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
