Replacing Right Knock Sensors




Replacing Right Knock Sensors (Cylinder Bank 1 To 4) (M60, M62)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.

Disconnect intake air manifold.


CAUTION:
Mixing up the knock sensor plug connections will result in engine damage!
The wiring and plug connections must correspond to the original routing. This eliminates the risk of mix-ups.







Release screws.
Tightening torque, Knock sensor 20 Nm.
Remove knock sensors.


NOTE:
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
