Repair Cable For Ignition Circuits

In the case of the seat belt tensioner and side airbag ignition circuits, increased transition resistances in the plug-in connections mean that the fault pattern "Resistance too high" can occur. The fault is frequently only present sporadically.

Is the following fault pattern present?
- Resistance too high
- Fault currently not present

It is usually the case that the pyrotechnic unit for the seat belt tensioner or side airbag is undamaged!

For sustained fault elimination, a repair cable must be fitted. The extent of the repair is described in the following Service Information bulletins:
