Removing hard top

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Open all side windows






Open locking lever on hard top at front:
- Press release knob (1) and at the same time open lever (2) as far as it will go.






Open fasteners at rear:
- Open covers at rear left and right.
- Open locking lever as far as it will go in direction (A).

Note:
The cover features a holder for safely storing the removed trims.






Lift off hard top with a second person.






Open convertible top compartment cover.

Clip trims over hardtop locating points forwards into side trim panels.

Close convertible top and side windows.

Note on storage:
When stored, the hard top must always be supported on a fixed surface on its front (supplied foam block, refer to BMW Parts Service).
