37 11 010 Removing and installing/replacing front active stabilizer bar

Important! Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Seal off pipe connections with plugs.

After installation:
^ Fill and bleed hydraulic system
^ Check pipe connections for leaks
^ Carry out initial DYNAMIC DRIVE operation.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Draw off and dispose off hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations
^ Remove front underbody protection





Release nuts (1).
Tightening torque; Control lines to oscillating motor 30 Nm
Remove pressure lines and vent lines (2) from oscillating motor and disconnect.
Remove stabilizer link on both sides from stabilizer.





Release screw (1) and nut (2) on both sides.
Remove active stabilizer bar from front axle carrier.
Check anti-friction bearings on both sides for damage, replace stabilizer bar if necessary.

Installation:
Tightening torque Retaining bar for stabilizer bar to front axle carrier or to body 31 Nm
Replace self-locking nuts.

Replacement only:
Remove retaining bracket on both sides.
Check rubber mount on both sides, replace if necessary.
