CID Changes Introduced March 2007

[NEW]All vehicles produced to February 28, 2007 with CID (Central Information Display), except for E60, E61 with MASK produced prior to September 2006.
SITUATION
With the introduction of March 2007 produced vehicles, enhancements have been made to the CID over previous model year vehicles. These enhancements include color and functional changes which improve functionality and give the CID a more appealing look.
If a pre-3/07 production vehicle is programmed using Progman V25.00.00 or higher, the Head Unit (CCC, MASK, etc) will be updated with new operating software (See attachment) and this will result in changes to the color and functionality of the CID.
In order to maintain customer satisfaction, please follow the procedure below to install a mirror hang tag before the vehicle is returned to the customer.

PROCEDURE
1. To determine if the vehicle being programmed is affected by this Service Information, check the integration level of the vehicle prior to programming by looking at the "Status report" or "Measures Plan".
2. The vehicle data status shows the date (year) of the currently installed software.
3. In this example (integration level E070-06-12-520) the year indicator is "06". Any year indicator 06, 05, 04, 03, follow the step 4 below.
4. Obtain a mirror hang tag (SD92-340) and install on the inside rear view mirror to inform the customer of these changes. For convenience, we recommend you keep a small supply of these hang tags in your programming areas. An initial quantity of 25 will be shipped to each dealer during the first week of April. Additional quantities can be ordered via the TIS web site.
5. Please keep a copy of this service information posted near the SSS along with a supply of hang tags.
6. Please assist the customer with any questions about the changes which are mostly cosmetic and will be easily understood. However if the customer needs additional explanation, they can contact Customer Relations at (800) 831-1117.
7. Refer to the 2 attachments which highlight some of the changes that have occurred with the release of this new software compared to the previous release.
