CCC: Poor Radio Reception after Software Update
MODEL
E90, E91, E92 (3 Series) with CCC -Navigation (SA 609)
E60, E61 (5 Series) with CCC-Navigation (SA 609)
E63, E64 (6 Series)
E70 (X5) with CCC-Navigation (SA 609)
SITUATION
The customer occasionally has poor radio reception ever since the vehicle was programmed with Progman V23.x or V24.x. The radio stations hiss more frequently.
CAUSE
Software error in the CCC (Car Communication Computer) tuner.
PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.
In the event of a customer complaint, perform standard diagnosis with the DIS/GT1. Troubleshoot any faults that are stored related to the audio system.
This software error will be corrected with a future Progman version (expected March 2007).
