SUBJECT
Drive Controller Malfunction (Low Version)

MODEL
E60: Production period from start of series production to July 31, 2003

SITUATION
The controller's acknowledgement function (Pressing down) is not working.

The acknowledgement button can be pressed manually, although no reaction occurs in the control display.

CAUSE
The cause is probably due to a software or hardware fault in the controller.

PROCEDURE
1. Perform short test on entire vehicle. If a Controller fault is displayed follow DIS test plan.

2. If Controller does not store a fault, enter into Diagnosis Request for Controller and push down on Controller.

3. If Controller input is not recognized then replace Controller.
